Писмо до CNN

Dear Madam/Sir,

I'm writing with regards to the material available at:
http://edition.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/international/2013/06/23/dans-with-me.cnn.htmtl
The claim that the protesters amount to "hundreds of people" is a gross
underestimation and misinforms the public as to the nature, severity and
importance of events currently taking place in Bulgaria. Anyone with a
few acquaintances in Sofia, Bulgaria will be very well informed that
there are thousands of people protesting each evening.

There has been informal research by numerous independent persons in the
social media, using the simple method of counting people passing per
minute at a particular spot. This has concluded amounts in the range 10
000 / 30 000.
Even the state police's version of the numbers is in the amount of 5-7
thousand. The latter numbers are now well known and accepted by the
public to be underestimated.
Having pointed out the quantitative view in the material is plain wrong,
now a tad off-topic, I shall point you to qualitative characteristics of
current events. Please find below the speech of President of Bulgaria
Mr. Rossen Plevneliev from 6th July 2013. Unfortunately the material is
in Bulgarian.

I leave you to draw your own conclusions from the relative
non-moderation, by standards established in high-end politics, now
exhibited by Mr. Plevneliev in his speech.

As a citizen participating in the protests, I feel deeply offended by
this material's misleading nature. As a responsible citizen and
supporter of objective media, i find this material in harm of the
general public, since, as already pointed out, it degrades the nature
and importance of current events.
This situation is worsened by the size of your media and the public
exposure to it, which implies certain social responsibility on your
side, that I believe to be violated in this instance.

I shall demand that you review this material and correct it, and publish
an official statement on your site regarding this matter.
If in this process you require assistance in being pointed to
established sources, which you can use to obtain a more adequate view of
the current events in Sofia and Bulgaria in general, I will be happy to
assist you with that, as far as possible for a non-journalist.

I am looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,
Dimitar Georgiev
